This past week NZ has been recorded by Our World in Data, which is run by a research team at the University of Oxford, as having the world's highest number of weekly fatalities from Coronavirus. My old thesis examiner, the late Sir Tony Atkinson, who developed inequality measures, was one of the initiators of Our World in Data.
